Create discounts for Sales (POS)

Discount presets speed up reception checkout — staff pick a saved discount instead of calculating percentages manually. Discounts apply to the overall sale in Sales (POS), separate from membership perks or service-level prepaid rules.

Create a discount preset

1. Click Sales in the top navigation, then Discounts — or go to Admin → Discounts.
2. Click Add discount.
3. Enter a name and choose percentage off or a fixed amount.
4. Save — the preset appears in the list for POS.

Apply a discount in Sales

1. Open Sales and build a cart for the patient.
2. Click Apply discount (or Change discount).
3. Choose a named preset, Custom (type amount), or No discount.
4. Optional: with a preset selected, enter an Optional extra £ off on top of the preset and click Apply extra.
5. Review Total after discount, then Checkout — create invoice.

What happens next

• Take payment at reception (POS)

  Complete a sale with credit, line totals, and payment.

• Set up membership plans

  Membership perks are separate from POS discount presets.
