Order and use a card reader

Order a Stripe Terminal reader from Payments settings, register it when it arrives, then take card payments at reception from Sales (POS). Payments run on your connected Stripe account. In-person UK card payments are 1.69% + 20p.

Order and register your reader

1. Connect Stripe under Settings → Payments first.
2. Scroll to Payment terminal.
3. Click Order terminal, choose WisePad 3 (Clinic Management app) or Stripe Reader S710 (Safari on Wi-Fi), and complete Stripe checkout.
4. Track progress: Ordered → Shipped → Delivered.
5. When the reader arrives, enter the pairing code from the device.
6. Click Register reader with Stripe.

Take a payment at the till

1. Open Sales from the top navigation.
2. Search for the patient and start a sale.
3. Add items and click Create invoice.
4. Choose Card terminal and follow the prompts on the reader.

What happens next

• Take payment at reception (POS)

  Full POS flow including saved cards and payment links.

• Connect Stripe for patient payments

  Connect Stripe if the terminal section is hidden.
